About the ACHS PTSA

Welcome to the Adolfo Camarillo High School PTSA Website!  ACHS PTSA has a strong sense of community and is well supported by our school's outstanding staff, parents, and students.  We are not shy about sharing our many accolades such as serving a school that has achieved the status of a Distinguished School, National Blue Ribbon School and, most recently, ranked in the top 1000 High Schools in the nation by The Daily Beast.  Our volunteers work tirelessly to bridge the gap between home and school, integrating the efforts of students and parents with those of principals and teachers.

It is never to late to be a part of a team that puts the interest of our students and staff first.  When you get involved in our PTSA, the child that benefits the most is your own!  Our staff at Adolfo Camarillo High School has raised the bar this year by having 100% membership of the staff--an accomplishment of which we are so proud!  By joining
the PTSA, you are taking a major step toward improving your child's school, community and your state and national education policies.  If you would like to join our PTSA, please let us know by sending an email to camarilloptsa@yahoo.com .

1. If a student has medication in the health office, please pick it up by the last day of school. Any medications or supplies left after 2:00 pm on June 8th will be discarded in-cluding epi-pens and diabetic
supplies...no exceptions.
2. Emergency cards for the next school year will be BLUE.
Please make sure you fill out a new BLUE card for 2012–2013 even if no information has changed.

Scholarships

Picture

We all know money doesn't grow on trees and college can be very expensive.  With that in mind,  PTSA awards a few senior scholarships each spring.  In order for seniors to be eligible they must be a PTSA member.  Envelopes are
available in the main  office.  Also, students should visit the Career Center on campus.  Mrs. Prentice would be happy to give a student paperwork for one of the MANY scholarships that are out there.  Each year, so many scholarships go unclaimed.  Make sure one of them is yours this year!

Fundraising: So many Options!

Supporting the ACHS PTSA just got a whole lot easier...we now accept credit cards!  Many of you have asked for this feature and now we are able to provide our families with a simple, quick and, best of all, FREE way to support our programs.  Currently the PTSA has two programs in which families may support our programs--the Armchair Fundraiser and After Prom.  Please note that although our PTSA has other fundraisers which we sponsor such
as College Planning, SAT/ACT practice tests or the Welcome Driver program, payment for these services are taken directly through those companies.  To make a donation or payment to the ACHS PTSA simply click on the tab at the top of the page entitled "Make a Donation/Contact Us".  Simply follow the prompts to make your donation or purchase.  The money is electronically deposited into the ACHS PTSA account from your credit or debit card quickly and effortlessly.  No more writing checks, no more waiting for the school to open, and no more lost payments left in your student's backpacks.  Who could ask for more?!

A Yummy Fundraiser

Picture
ACHS PTSA is introducing another fundraiser to our families. It’s the Sip to Support program, the EASY and FRUITFUL way to support Adolfo Camarillo High School. By  signing up for Sip to Support, every time you visit Jamba Juice and pay using the Card, 10% of the net sales will be donated back to your PTSA from Jamba Juice.
How  The Program Works:
1. All ACHS Supporters sign up for their own Jamba Juice Sip to Support Marqeta Card at
jambajuice.marqeta.com. (To sign up, supporters must be at least 18 years of age.)
2. The Card is sent directly to ACHS Supporters in the mail. Once received, they activate the Card by phone or jambajuice.marqeta.com
3. ACHS Supporters load their cards by purchasing one of the special Jamba Juice offers, which always gives them more money to spend.
 4. The supporters visit their favorite participating Jamba Juice location and pay with their Cards, which combine the payment swipe with the donation at the same
time. 10% of the sales will be donated back to ACHS PTSA.
5.  Every 90 days, Marqeta (Jamba Juice partner) will process and schedule funds to be sent to ACHS PTSA via check.
Limited-time  promotions get you started before the summer:
  • ACHS PTSA gets $2 for every sign up! - For every supporter that signs up and purchases an offer, Marqeta will donate $2 each.
ACHS PTSA will receive an extra $150! - If we get 100 or more supporters to sign up and purchase an offer, Marqeta will donate an additional $150.
Jamba Juice has a very special offer available:
Load  just $1 on your card and get an extra $5 for free!

Again, thank you for joining Jamba Juice’s Sip to Support program!

Armchair Fundraiser

Picture
The first semester is behind us, second semester has begun. PTSA had an incredible start to the 2012-2013 school year. In fact, we've never been stronger. We still have much to accomplish the second half of this school year. How would you like to donate to our school, not have to do any volunteer work, and never leave the comfort of your home?  If that sounds great to you then the Armchair Fundraiser program is for you!  This is the simplest of all fundraising programs because there is no selling required and 100% of donations go to ACHS. Although there will be a limited  number of other fundraisers this year, the Armchair Fundraiser provides every family an opportunity to directly support our school. All donations received will be applied toward the more than 15 PTSA-funded programs for ACHS such as the Red Ribbon Program, Reflections, Senior College Scholarships, and Staff  Appreciation. Please make checks payable to ACHS PTSA. Donations may be brought to the office by your student, or mailed to ACHS PTSA at 4660 Mission  Oaks Blvd., Camarillo, CA., 93012.  If you would like to make a donation in the form of cash or check, please click HERE.  If you would like to make a donation with your credit card please click the Donate button below.
